Respol Resinas receives ISCC Plus Certification
Respol Resinas has been granted with the ISCC Plus Certification for its Tall Oil Rosin Esters brand POLIMELT produced in Leiria, Portugal.
The ISCC – International Sustainability and Carbon Certification is a leading, globally applicable and industry recognized certification system for the implementation and certification of sustainable supply chains that supports the transition to a circular economy and bioeconomy. Its key pillars include traceability throughout the supply chain, feedstock identity, no deforestation, transparent rules for mass balancing and physical segregation as well as protection of biodiversity and high carbon stock areas.
When using renewable and sustainable raw materials, it is important to have credible proof of sustainability starting from the raw material. Using the established mass balance principle, Respol Resinas has proven that its rosin esters can be certified against the ISCC criteria, with full traceability throughout the supply chain.
